Ageplay or age play is a form of Roleplay in which an individual acts or treats another as if they were a different age, we realise that should be fairly obvious.

Ageplay is role playing between adults, and like all Roleplay, it requires consent from all parties.

Portraying any age can be part of the goal for ageplay, this can go from Adult Babies, to acting like the elderly. Usually it will involve someone pretending to be younger than they actually are, but more rarely can involve assuming the role of someone much older.

Ageplay can take on a sexual or non-sexual nature, or It could be mildly sexual, or extremely sexual.

Ageplay can enhance the power dynamic, it also allows a partner to feel more comfortable with their roll within Domination or Submission.

Sexual variations may include among other things such as "incest play", in which individuals recreate family rolls and add to them a sexual dimension, another common variation would be "Daddy's girl" fetishism in which real or imagined age differences are the basis of the Roleplay and the female is portrayed as the younger partner.

Ageplay is not considered pedophilia, and is not related to pedophilia, this is according to professional psychologists. Individuals who ageplay are not attracted to children, but instead enjoy portraying children, or enjoy childlike elements typical of children present in adults.

Sexual ageplay itself does not involve the sexual attraction to biologically underage people. Rather, when a consenting adult takes on the roleplaying mindset of a young person, it is motivated by re-experiencing emotional states and social interactions of one's youth, which also happen to be pleasurable in a sexual context to the participants.
