Info and Intro

Pirate influenced Heavy Metal act;-

Formed out of Perth, in Scotland, they have a distinctive sound, that is characterised by a pirate theme, this is what earned them the title "Pirate Metal" from a number of critics as well as much of their fanbase.
They themselves refer to their genre as "True Scottish Pirate Metal".

Originally they formed under the name Battleheart in 2004, then, after putting out two demos, they were signed by Napalm Records in 2007 and renamed themselves Alestorm.

Their debut album, Captain Morgan's Revenge was released January 25th 2008.

The second album was the 2009 Black Sails at Midnight, released 27th of May 2009.

The band's third album, Back Through Time, was released in June 2011.

There was also a live album, under the title - Live at the End of the World, which came out on the 18th of November 2013.

and their latest record Sunset on the Golden Age was released in August 2014.
