Anal Sex

Anal sex (also called anal intercourse) is the sex act in which the penis is inserted into the anus of a sexual partner. The term can also include other sexual acts involving the anus, including pegging, anilingus, fingering, and inserting objects.

Stats and Info

Experts calculate that approximately one out of every four straight couples have had anal sex, arguably making this the most popular of all sexual taboos, yet while many people are at the very least curious enough to try it, few go about it in the correct manner, leaving people with a negative experience, and never wanting to do it again. In order to enjoy anal sex, couples need to have some idea of what they're doing, and to be able to communicate with each other in an open and honest way. Of course, talking frankly and using the kind of names we’d use in infant school can make things awkward and embarrassing. So let’s just grow up, stop the giggles and be honest. "Our asses carry with them so much cultural baggage," says Tristan Taormino, author of The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex For Women. "Most of us are taught at a young age that our butts are dirty, that they shouldn't be shared with others, that they are not a source of pleasure—all of which aren't true.” Despite that or maybe because of it, the idea of anal sex is often a turn-on. Men like the promise of tightness, and both partners can appreciate the allure of unique physical sensations coupled with domination/submission.

Porn Star Quote

As porn star Jenna Jameson wrote of anal sex in her 2004 autobiography, "I've only given that up to three men, all of whom I really loved. Doing it on camera would be compromising myself."

Gay or Straight

While anal sex is generally associated with male homosexuality, research shows that not all gay males engage in this and that it is not uncommon in heterosexual relationships. Types of anal sex can also be found in lesbian sexual practices.

Random

Many people find anal sex pleasurable, and some may reach orgasm through stimulation of the prostate in men, and clitoral and G Spot leg stimulation in women. As with most forms of sexual interaction, individuals are at risk from sexually transmitted diseases, and therefore the crew at Altopedia recommends safe-sex practices. Unprotected anal sex is considered one of the riskiest of all forms of sexual intercourse; this is due to the vulnerability of the rectum and sphincter tissues. Many couples find most forms of sex without a condom more pleasurable but if your going to ride "bareback" remember this, it's like petting a hedgehog, ALWAYS go front to back and NEVER back to front, lots and lots of lube is also suggested as well.

The main things we can advise is, talk to each other, be honest, don’t be shy and do your research with more than just porn movies. Oh and, make sure you have fun!!! ☺
