Legendary Gothic track, with Bauhaus being one of the masterminds behind the Gothic sound.

Below is their cover of a David Bowie track,
Through this, Bauhaus and David Bowie became such good friends that Bauhaus recorded music for a Bowie movie.

Formed out of Northampton, England in 1978, and a major influence in the creation of the sounds that we have grown to know as Post Punk and Gothic.

They originally named themselves "Bauhaus 1919", but dropped the 1919 part of the name within a year of formation.

They gathered a reputation for having a dark and gloomy sound and image, and are cited by many as the first Gothic artist.

The band split during '83, Peter Murphy began a solo career while Ash and Haskins continued as Tones on Tail and, later, reunited with David J to form Love and Rockets. Both enjoyed greater commercial success in the USA than Bauhaus had, but disappeared from the charts in their homeland.

Bauhaus eventually reunited for a 1998 tour and again from 2005–2008.
