Bruce Springsteen

Born September the 23rd, 1949, he is an American musician, singer, songwriter and humanitarian.

Probably best known for his work with his E Street Band.

Nicknamed "The Boss", Springsteen is widely known for his brand of poetic lyrics, Americana, working-class and sometimes political sentiments centered around his native New Jersey, his distinctive voice and his lengthy and energetic stage performances, with concerts from the '70s to the present, running over three hours in length.

The E Street Band

The E Street Band has been Bruce Springsteen's primary backing band since '72. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Springsteen's recordings have included both commercially accessible Rock albums and more somber Folk oriented works.

His most successful studio albums, Born in the U.S.A. and Born to Run, showcase a talent for finding grandeur in the struggles of daily American life.

He has sold more than 64 million albums in the United States and more than 120 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time.

He has earned numerous awards for his work, including 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award as well as being inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.

When not working with Springsteen, members of the band have recorded solo material and have pursued successful careers as session musicians, record producers, songwriters, actors, and other roles in entertainment. The most well known in their separate careers are drummer Max Weinberg, who has led his own band, first on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and then on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, from 1993–2010, and guitarist Steven Van Zandt, who starred as Silvio Dante in the HBO television series, The Sopranos, from 1999 to 2007, and as Frank "The Fixer" Tagliano in the current Netflix series, Lilyhammer.
