David Vaughan Icke, born April 29th 1952, is one of the greatest conspiracy theorists to have ever lived. Many people have theorized that there is a secret world government but David took that theory, added some reptiles and a holographic moon, and a legend was born.
The Life of David
David was a shy and nervous child who grew up in a very poor family, at times they would have to hide from the council man wanting to collect the rent. He failed at school and left at 15 to pursue a football career (as a goalkeeper) after being spotted by Coventry City. Unfortunately due to Rheumatoid arthritis he had to retire from football at the age of 21.
Icke began finding work as a reporter. He became a sports presenter for Newsnight in 1981, a year later he moved on to co-host the BBC sports program Grandstand. His contract terminated with the BBC in 1990.
Icke began to explore unconventional medicine during the 80's to help with his arthritis. He also began to get involved with the Green Party. In 1989 he saw a book on psychic healing by Betty Shine and decided to pay her a visit. On further meetings, Betty told Icke that he had been sent to heal the earth, and that the spirit world would start to use him to give messages to the people. The seed was sown.
It was at a burial ground in Peru in 1991 that Icke had an experience with a 'higher level of consciousness'. He described it as experiencing 'kundalini'. When Icke returned home he began to write a book on what was happening to him. He also started channelling to communicate with spirits. He resigned from the Green Party in 1991 because he knew he was destined for greater things.
Icke then began to channel regularly and dressed in only turquoise to attract positive energy. David also began to date a psychic even though he had a wife at the time, but she was apparently cool with it as the psychic (named Deborah Shaw) moved in with them, and they became known as the 'turquoise triangle'. After he resigned from the Green Party, the turquoise triangle held a press conference, in which David said he was the 'Son of the Godhead'. People interpreted this as David saying he was the son of God, but Godhead to David meant 'Infinite Mind'. David also said that the world would end in 1997 after a number of disasters such as earthquakes in New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico, eruptions in Cuba and that New Zealand would disappear. Speaking from 2014, it can be confirmed that the world did not end in 1997. Afterwards, David displayed regret about the press conference, explaining that he had no control over what he was saying. The damage was done, however, and David's 'predictions' were all over the papers the next day.
Icke: The best way of removing negativity is to laugh and be joyous, Terry, so I'm glad that there's been so much laughter in the audience tonight.
Wogan: But they're laughing at you. They're not laughing with you.
Icke: I don't care.
On the 29th of April, 1991, Terry Wogan invited David onto his BBC primetime show Wogan to interview him. It was a disaster. Wogan ridiculed Icke and the BBC was criticised for letting it be aired. The aftermath was also bad, Icke disappeared from the public for a while as even his children were being ridiculed. In the end however, Icke learned to not let anyone's laughter bother him and began to write more books. Icke began to do lectures and has since gone from strength to strength, in 2012 he sold out Wembley Arena.
Where is David now?
David currently resides on the Isle of Wight with his second wife, Pamela Leigh Richards. He remains friends with his first wife and she helps manage his publishing business. He has a daughter and two sons. David is currently working on a new radio show called The People's Voice and will return to Wembley Arena in October, 2014, for another lecture.
The Thoughts of David
David Icke believes in Reptilians. He believes that there is a plot to control and dominate humanity and that we are a slave race under the control of a global elite. He believes in a collective consciousness and that we can change our DNA with experiences that overwrite our software. Like a computer, only more crazy. He believes that the Babylonian Brotherhood ultimately want us micro-chipped, which nowadays sounds less like the plot to a sci-fi film and more probable what with growing concerns over security.
David argues that organized religions such as Christianity, Judaism or Islam were created by the Illuminati to keep us constantly divided through endless wars and conflicts which...also doesn't sound out of the realm of possibility. There is a concept Icke calls "problem-reaction-solution" wherein the global elite will engineer a problem, wait for the public's reaction, and come up with a solution that usually takes away more of our rights. If you think about it, that's not that crazy either. Fear and a common enemy is an excellent way to control the public, as history has taught us.
"You want to introduce something you know the people won't like ... So you first create a PROBLEM, a rising crime rate, more violence, a terrorist bomb ... You make sure someone else is blamed for this problem ... So you create a "patsy," as they call them in America, a Timothy McVeigh or a Lee Harvey Oswald ... This brings us to stage two, the REACTION from the people – "This can't go on; what are THEY going to do about it?" ... This allows THEM to then openly offer the SOLUTION to the problems they have created ..."
"Create the problem, encourage the reaction "something must be done", and then offer the solution. It is summed up by the Freemason motto 'Ordo Ab Chao' -order out of chaos. Create the chaos and then offer the way to restore order. Your order. The masses are herded and directed by many and various forms of emotional and mental control. It is the only way it could be done.”
Some of the ideas do make sense, if you open your mind and ignore that David believes in lizard-men (some people really don't like that, for some reason) however this is ruined when David proposes that the Moon is a giant spacecraft and inter-dimensional portal, controlled by the reptilians and used to manipulate us. David calls this the Moon Matrix, as the Moon supposedly broadcasts the virtual-reality world that we live in, a broadcast that targets the left hemisphere of the brain.
I still think he's brilliant.
The Criticism of David
Unfortunately not all people like David; they cannot see the forest for the reptiles and therefore try to vilify him. Many have accused him of being anti-Semitic and slightly racist, and have concluded that when Icke says reptiles, he really means the Jews. Icke has countered this claim and has said that this is: "friggin' nonsense". Swoon.
"There is a tribe of people interbreeding," he told Jon Ronson in 2001, "which do not, do not, relate to any Earth race ... This is not a Jewish plot. This is not a plot on the world by Jewish people"
So to clarify, when Icke speaks of lizard-men, he really means fourth dimensional reptile humanoids who can possess the bodies of powerful elites through blood rituals, including many members of the royal family. So there.
Some have compared David Icke to Alex Jones but these people are silly, as David is cooler than Jones will ever be.
The Quotes of David
"So reports of my madness, as they say, were greatly exaggerated. Not that I give a bugger either way."
"Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut, that held its ground."
"Any society where it's a crime or a hassle to be different is a society based on psychological fascism."
"Infinite love is the only truth. Everything else is illusion."
"We are reflections of one another, therefore I know that you are part of me and I am part of you because we are all projections of the universal principles of creation/destruction polarities of the same infinite consciousness that we call God."
"The reason most people don't express their individuality and actually deny it, is not fear of what prime ministers think of us or the head of the federal reserve, it's what their families and their friends down at the bar are going to think of them."
“It may be bliss not to know a tornado is coming because you have no need to worry or take action. But while your head is in the sand and your bum is in the air, the tornado is still coming.”
"I hope I can pass on a few thoughts and ideas to the Sci-Fi channel to encourage people to see that they are living in a conditioned illusion and we can change it any time we want."
"Dogmas take endless forms, and when you can persuade different people to hold opposing dogmas, the manipulation of conflict and control through "divide and rule" becomes easy. It is happening today in the same way - more so, in fact - as it has throughout human history."
"The members of this Elite are either direct incarnations of the fourth-dimensional Prison Warders or have their minds controlled by them. The aim of the Brotherhood and its interdimensional controllers has been to centralise power in the hands of the few. This process is now very advanced and it is happening on a global scale today thanks to modern technology. The game-plan is known as the Great Work of Ages or the New World Order, and it presently seeks to introduce a world government to which all nations would be colonies; a world central bank and currency; a world army; and a micro-chipped population connected to a global computer. What is happening today is the culmination of the manipulation which has been unfolding for thousands of years."
