Intro

A talented artist with connections to Brian Eno, but Harold Budd was part of the music that laid down the foundations for Ambient, Minimalist and even Trance, amongst others. The bracket/genre he is usually labelled as, is - Avant-Garde composer/poet.

He developed a style of playing piano he terms as "soft pedal".

Born May the 24th 1936, in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in the Mojave Desert.
