Info

Nu metal is a subgenre of Heavy Metal. It is a fusion genre which combines elements of Heavy Metal music with other genres, including Grunge and Hip Hop.

Possibly kicking off the genre would be the likes of Faith No More and Korn and being popularised by the likes of Limp Bizkit, but of course, the whole genre of Nu Metal would have to give a nod of respect to the likes of the Beastie Boys, plus the Aerosmith track "Walk This Way" (the version with as well as without Run DMC), it would also owe some appreciation to the Anthrax and Public Enemy fusion track with that version of "Bring the Noise" and to the entire soundtrack to the movie Judgment Night

We also should not forget just how radical "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen was for its time.
